Floor Smoothing and Leveling

What do we need?

For application of parquet,  carpet ,  plastic tiles ( PVC ) epoxy floors or other applications , required  horizontal floors, completely flat and smooth. With concrete and common screed it is impossible to achieve the desired results .

How do we do it?

On the floor we will apply the self-leveling mortar NSF 610 for smoothing to 10mm or NSF 611 for smoothing larger defects 1- 4cm. The floor will have a smooth surface and it is ready to be coated with the ingredients of your choice.

Step by step

  • Initially we provide powerful and clean surfaces without cracks and gaps.
  • If floors have large gaps greater than 4cm (ie the maximum application thickness of NSF 611) even and locally, we first apply the cement NSD 600 (see. Filling floors with cement mortar) in order to smooth the surface.
  • Prime the cement with the acrylic primer GLX 290 diluted at a ratio GLX 290 to water = 1: 3. After 2 to 6 hours depending on atmospheric conditions may make the application of the cement. For smoothing to 10mm select the leveling mortar NSF 610 while smoothing between 1cm to 4cm select NSF 611.
  • Prepare leveling floor giving great care to use exactly the amount of water indicated on the bag or in the technical leaflets of the company. For the preparation can be used manual electric low speed mixer or continuous mixer which necessarily must have special accessories for self-leveling floors. The finished product is cast and is assisted by a large toothed metal spatula etc. In order to cover the desired surface. While the floor is still fluid, we process the surface with special  radial roller, to release any trapped air. This way they will avoid joints between the different layers and result in a uniform and leveled surface. Recommended to use drivers to achieve uniform thickness. To avoid occurrence of cracks developed in the substrate recommend the use of expansion joints. If prevailing conditions causing abrupt drying of the product, such as heat, light spraying with water required for the first two days after application. Allow the product to dry completely before the next application. This duration will depend on the climatic conditions. But proposed time is about 15 days. During the application and for the next 24 hours the temperature of the ambient and substrate should be between + 5 ° C and + 35 ° C.

Filling with Lightweight Screed

What do we need?

Before laying the tiles on floors, surfaces have to be flat and relatively smooth. Usually required thick leveling material in order to smooth the surfaces to provide the necessary slopes for removal of the water and additionally fill tubes plumbing, heating, etc. that are placed on the ground. This large material thickness burden plates of the building with large loads.

How do we do it?

For leveling of floors and covering of pipes will be used lightweight, thermal insulating floor screed NSD 620 which consists of grains form from crushed AAC (YTONG).

Step by step

  • Clean the floors from dirt and concrete residues. Fill – if any – large gaps.
  • Place a foam material 1cm thick to the perimeter wall so the cement will fall not to touch the walls.
  • Prime the substrate with acrylic primer GLX 290 diluted at a ratio GLX 290 to water = 1: 3. After 2 to 6 hours depending on atmospheric conditions may do the application of the screed.
  • Place appropriate drivers, in order to ensure the slopes and leveling of finish. Prepare the mortar by machine and by hand and spread on floor with the help of common metal cubit or vibrating.
  • For best results, strength, elasticity, adhesion recommend in mixing water to be added and an amount of improver admixture GLX 296.
  • When screed ‘pull’, depending on the size of the surface create expansion joints per 2.5-3 current meters to reduce contractions and creating cracks.
  • For applications that do not have direct bonding of the screed to the background (such as on polythene sheeting, insulation boards, etc.) requires appropriate support to reinforce. The floor is passable after 12 hours at + 20 ° C.
  • If prevailing conditions causing abrupt drying of the product, such as heat, light spraying with water required for the first two days after application.

Screed with Resistance to Rubbing

What do we need?

The mechanical stresses received by cement and particularly intense friction when using them frequently result in wear and detachments.

How do we do it?

Adding to screed reinforcement resin GLX 296 Latex type  improves the mechanical properties and increases resistance to abrasion.

Step by step

  • Reinforcing resin is added to the water in the mixture before mixing it with the screed in a ratio: GLX 296 to water = 1: 2 to 1: 4.
  • Then, in the prepared mixture  pour the cement and stir properly to create a homogeneous mass mortar with excellent workability.
  • Prior to application of the screed on  floor recommend to priming the substrate with brushable adhesion primer for mortar or concrete or with acrylic primer GLX 290 diluted at a ratio GLX 290 to water = 1: 3.

Filling with Screed

What do we need?

Before laying the tiles on floors, surfaces have to be flat and relatively smooth. Usually required thick leveling material in order to smooth the surfaces to provide the necessary slopes for removal of the water and additionally fill tubes plumbing, heating, etc. that are placed on the ground. For leveling of floors and covering of pipes will be used screed NSD 600 with quartz sand which will give a high strength flat surface, ready to fill with ingredients of your choice (tiles, parquet, etc.).

Screed Waterproofing

What do we need?

The screed used for filling, leveling and waterproofing of swimming pools , tanks and basements should be impervious to water and create a protective barrier from simple moisture to the hydrostatic pressure.

How do we do it?

Adding reinforcing resin GLX 296 type Latex waterproof the cement even against hydrostatic pressure, protects from cracks and increases the adhesion to the substrate.
