What do we need?
The aerated concrete (AAC) as well as other highly absorbent surfaces, absorb water plaster rapidly, causing plaster to pull quickly and usually crack.
How do we do it?
Surfaces primed with special acrylic primer to regulate their absorbency and then plastered with plaster systems of THRAKON.
GYPSUM PLASTER SYSTEM (internal surfaces)
Fiber reinforced – Elastic Plaster system
Step by step
Once the wall fully dried after construction and possible repairs, prime the interior and exterior surfaces with the acrylic primer GLX 290 diluted at a ratio GLX 290 to water = 1: 4. After 2 to 6 hours depending on atmospheric conditions apply any of the following plastering systems of THRAKON:
- 3-LAYER SYSTEM
- 1-LAYER SYSTEM
III. GYPSUM PLASTERING SYSTEM (interior surfaces)
- FIBER REINFORCED – ELASTIC PLASTERING SYSTEM
For very detailed report on coatings and plastering process see the plastering guide.
