Over the past year, the THRAKON \u2013 YTONG Group, one of Greece’s leading producers of building materials and chemical products, has taken a major strategic step in its technological development<\/strong>. It has established and brought into full operation its new Research & Development (R&D) Centre in Oinofyta<\/strong>. It was designed to meet THRAKON’s growing technological needs at international level and operates as a global innovation hub, focusing on the research and development of advanced formulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The centre’s work covers a wide range of products and applications: dry mortars, waterproofing systems, liquid products and thermal insulation materials. They matter all the more at a time when international markets are changing rapidly and climate challenges call for new, more efficient and more sustainable solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The R&D Centre’s scientific team is made up of specialised chemists, engineers and application technicians. They work closely with leading raw material suppliers, external laboratories and universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Over the past year, the team has developed and tested a series of new high-performance products, including advanced repair systems, lightweight renders and enhanced tile adhesives.
