Description
DΕCOR PU AQUA is a transparent, matte, polyurethane, two-component, water-based varnish, specially designed for the pro-tection of microcement and other structural elements. It provides waterproofing, has excellent adhesion to the substrate and does not yellow. Its special formulation contains UV filters against UV radiation, thus protects the colors and styles of the surface. It is particularly recommended for indoor use as it is an odorless product that does not contain solvents.
Application Fields
- Suitable for sealing and protecting any pressed cement mortar, cementitious substrates and natural stone. It is particularly rec-ommended for the protection of DECOR cement mortar and the enhancement of its shades. It can be applied indoors and out-doors, on walls and floors subjected to light stress.

Application Steps
The surface must necessarily be clean, dry and free of dust and mould before application. The substrate must be stable and free from loose particles, dust, oil and grease. Any stagnant water must also be removed. The surface must be protected from rising damp. Additionally, the moisture content of the substrate should be less than 4% and the atmospheric humidity less than 65%. In the case of application on microcement, it is necessary to apply DECOR PRIM before applying the varnish.
Step 2Pour the entire amount of component B into the container of component A. For better stirring it is recommended to use a drill at low speed for 2 - 3 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Stirring should be done carefully from the bottom to the top and along the walls of the container. After mixing compo-nent A with component B, dilute the mixture with 5 - 10% v/v of pure water, for easier application and to adjust the viscosity. Allow the mixture to mature for a few minutes before use.
Step 3For best results we recommend the application of two coats of DECOR PU AQUA. For the application use a roller but without leaving excess material. DECOR PU AQUA must penetrate well into the application surface. Storage
Component A: Store in sealed packaging in a dry en-vironment at temperatures between +5 °C and +35 °C for 24 months from the date of production. Component B: Store in sealed packaging in a dry en-vironment at temperatures between +5 °C and +35 °C for 6 months from the date of production.
