SUPER ELASTIC VKW 132

SUPER ELASTIC VKW 132 is a highly flexible, two component adhesive for tiles, suitable for the most demanding bonding and the application of tiles on existing tiling, even on vibrating surfaces. It consists of  a dry mortar (component A) and a resin emulsion (component B). It is resistant to substrate movement and has extended open time (up to 30 minutes), thus offering increased working capacity to application teams. It has very strong adhesion to all common substrates and exhibits high resistance to weather conditions (rain-heat-frost). It is classified as C2TE S2 adhesive, according to European Standards EN 12004 and EN 12002, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

SUPER ELASTIC VKW 132 is suitable for the adhesion of all types of tiles and natural stone. Recommended for bonding tiles on surfaces subject to vibrations and extreme shrinkage/ expansions, such as:

• Gypsum boards
• Underfloor heating
• Flat roofs
• Balconies

On wooden surfaces, such as:

• MDF
• Plywood
• Chip-board
• Lofts
• Wooden stairs

Ideal for bonding mosaic tiles on:

• Swimming pools
• WC
• Baths
• Changing rooms
• Greenboard drywalls etc.

Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It is also recommended for bonding big dimension tiles and new tiles on old ones.

In a clean container add 7 kg of component A (dry mortar) and 3 kg of component B (emulsion). Mix with an electric stirrer for 3 minutes until the mixture becomes homogenous. Let the mixture rest for 5 minutes and stir again for a while. The mixture is ready to use for at least 1.5 hours. After the preparation of the mixture, no extra water should be added to improve mortar workability. This could lead to reduced strengths and increased shrinkage. Spread the adhesive on the surface and then comb the adhesive layer using a special 3-5 mm toothed spatula for mosaics and 5-7 mm toothed spatula for tiles. Tile placement should be performed within 30 min (at +20oC) from the adhesive layering. Workable time varies depending on the climate conditions. Any excess adhesive should be removed from the joints. Expansion joints should be applied on the surface every 25 m2. Connections between floors and walls should be made with the suitable silicone mastic sealants. Throughout application and during the next 24 hours, the temperature of the environment and the substrate should be between 5oC and 35oC. When the adhesive is still fresh, it can be cleaned with water. When it hardens, it can only be removed with mechanical means. Access is allowed after 24 hours. Floor grouting can be carried out after 24 hours and wall grouting after 12 hours.

Stored in wooden pallets at temperatures higher than +0°C in dry environment for 12 months from production date.
