What do we need?
Roller, trowel, brush, sponge, notched and stainless-steel finishing trowel, spray gun or plastering machine, plastering trowel.
STEP 1
Floor Screed: NSD 600 floor screed is used for floor levelling, smoothing and achieving the required levels. The material can be applied mechanically using a continuous mixing machine or manually.
Apply uniformly at a thickness of 3–10 cm, creating a durable and stable surface with high mechanical strength and strong adhesion to concrete.
It is suitable for preparing floors before the installation of tiles, marble, parquet and other final floor coverings.
STEP 2
Application of Surface Hardener: NSH 650 is applied as a surface hardener to fresh concrete by dry-shake application, either manually or mechanically.
For manual application, first remove any bleed water from the concrete surface and then spread the product evenly in two coats, avoiding folds or uneven areas. The first coat is fully power-floated using a mechanical trowel, followed immediately by the second coat, which is also power-floated until the final surface is achieved.
For mechanical application, the material is uniformly distributed over the concrete using a laser screed immediately after placing the concrete, in a single coat.
In all cases, water must not be added to the surface after application of the hardener.
STEP 3
Surface Priming: The two-component water-based epoxy primer DESMOFLEX EPOXY PRIMER is applied before installation of STATUSPOX, ensuring proper substrate preparation.
It can be easily applied by roller, brush or paintbrush. It is virtually odourless, provides deep penetration, stabilizes the surface and creates a strong bonding bridge for the subsequent coating layers.
The product has a working time of approximately 45–50 minutes, while the subsequent coat can be applied after approximately 6–12 hours. Full curing is achieved after approximately 7 days under normal application conditions.
STEP 4
Final Surface: The two-component epoxy coating STATUSPOX is used for the coating and protection of floors, providing high resistance under demanding service conditions.
It can be applied by brush, roller or airless spray and creates a highly durable surface with excellent adhesion.
The material is surface-dry after approximately 12 hours and can be recoated after 24 hours. Full curing and development of the final properties are achieved after approximately 7 days under normal application conditions.
STATUSPOX provides long-term protection, high durability and an excellent aesthetic finish.
