Waterproof protection of wooden flooring
STEP 1
Wood Substrate Priming: After thoroughly mixing components A and B and diluting with 10–20% clean water, apply DESMOFLEX EPOXY PRIMER by roller, brush or paintbrush in one uniform coat, at a consumption of 100–200 g/m², depending on substrate absorbency. On particularly porous or rough surfaces, a second coat is recommended. The product maintains its elasticity, accommodating substrate movements and vibrations, while providing resistance to standing water, frost and hydrostatic pressure. The subsequent layer can be applied after approximately 6–12 hours, while the surface remains slightly tacky, ensuring excellent intercoat adhesion. Full curing and development of the final mechanical and chemical properties are completed after 7 days.
STEP 2
Wood Protection: After lightly stirring the material to ensure homogeneity, apply D-FLEX® CLEAR by roller in two or three successive coats, allowing approximately 12 hours between coats and applying each coat at a thickness of up to 1 mm. Upon curing, it forms a continuous, transparent, elastic and fully waterproof seamless membrane with excellent resistance to UV radiation, weathering, standing moisture and chemical agents such as detergents, oils and seawater. The final surface remains transparent without yellowing, maintains its mechanical properties over a wide temperature range and provides long-term waterproofing and protection. The surface becomes walkable after approximately 8–12 hours, while full curing and development of the final properties are completed after 7 days.
