What do we need?

Trowel, roller, trowel, straightedge and plastering guides.

STEP 1 Surface Cleaning: Clean the surface thoroughly to remove oils, loose material, dust, etc. Any protrusions (e.g. reinforcement bars) must be cut back to a depth of 3 cm. Thoroughly saturate the surface with water and repair the affected areas using REPIFIX REPAIR WRM 519.
STEP 2 Surface Waterproofing: Apply the liquid-applied waterproofing mortar STRONG DSF 360 in at least two crosswise coats using a brush or trowel, ensuring complete coverage and strong adhesion over the entire surface. Each coat should be applied at a thickness of up to 1 mm, with a typical total application thickness of 2–3 mm, depending on the waterproofing requirements. The subsequent coat should be applied once the previous coat has sufficiently set. In areas subject to increased hydrostatic pressure, the application of a third coat is recommended. At joints, corners and connections, reinforcement with suitable waterproofing tape or glass-fibre mesh is recommended to ensure watertightness and prevent cracking.
STEP 3 Surface Levelling: For levelling surface irregularities and areas with aggregate segregation in the concrete, apply REPIFIX CLASSIC WRM 515. Carefully spread the repair mortar to ensure complete filling and coverage of all voids. Make sure that entrapped air is fully released and no voids remain. The mortar may be applied in layers up to 2 cm thick. To ensure uniform strength development and prevent cracking, keep the finished surface moist during the first days after application.
STEP 4 Surface Preparation: Apply THRAKON's waterproof render DSF 370, levelling the surface as required. The total application thickness may be 2–3 mm, with a maximum thickness of 1 cm per coat. At the junctions between the pool floor and walls, as well as between adjacent walls, it is recommended to form a concave fillet to facilitate the subsequent application of the polyurethane coating.
STEP 5 Surface Preparation: Apply the repair and smoothing mortar WRM 483 CEMCOAT onto the properly prepared substrate using a trowel in 1–2 coats, ensuring strong adhesion and uniform surface coverage. The total application thickness is 2 mm. After the material has fully hardened, the surface may be sanded manually or mechanically to achieve a smooth finish suitable for subsequent painting or coating applications.
STEP 6 Surface Priming: Prime the surface with the two-component epoxy primer STATUSPOOL PRIMER after 24–48 hours, provided that the WRM 483 has fully dried.
STEP 7 Final Coating: After 24 hours, proceed with the application of the specialized polyurethane coating STATUSPOOL. STATUSPOOL provides high resistance to solar radiation and to acidic or alkaline environments. It also offers excellent adhesion and complete resistance to water penetration.
