Description
GLX 292 FLEX PRIM is an acrylic micronized water-based primer with high penetration properties. It is ideal for preparing any new or already existingporous surface thus offering perfect adhesion to acrylic plaster, water- based paints, flexible mortars, tile adhesive, acrylic and cementitious waterproofing spreads etc. It is the best solution for surfaces on which water-based colors, lime or low-quality old paints have been applied. It hardens brittle surfaces and prepares them for painting, plastering etc. Itpresents high penetration abilities and reduced the capillary absorption coefficient though without blocking the pores since it lets the surface ‘’breathe’’.
Application Fields
- Suitable for interior and exterior applications for preparing new surfaces, such as fair-faced concrete, plaster, plasterboards, puttied surfaces, bricks etc. in order to be painted with emulsion or acrylic water-based paints.
- Suitable for hardening surfaces painted with waterbased paints or lime. Also used to reduce the absorbability of porous surfaces and prepare absorbent surfaces, such as plasterboards and wood-chip boards before applying microcement, water-based paint etc.
- Suitable for preparing surfaces before the application of insulating materials (acrylic and cementitious waterproofing spreads for flat roofs and balconies etc.)

Application Steps
Before applying, ensure that the surface is clean, dry, robust and free from dust, mold and grease. Remove damaged, or peeling old paint. Where putty is required, use the STATUS 100% ACRYLIC PUTTY and after drying, sand the surface and clean the dust thoroughly. If there are large cracks, use the readyto-use stucco STATUS ONE COVER, fill the cracks applying just one coat without sanding. Never apply on surfaces that are not completely dried. Make sure that the cause of humidity has been eliminated and the surface is absolutely dry.
Step 2Mix well before use and apply undiluted.
Step 3Allow at least 4 hours before applying the second coat, if needed.
Step 4Close the container tightly after use to keep the paint in good condition for future use. You can store undiluted paint in a tightly sealed container for extended periods of time without affecting the quality of the product.
Step 5Apply the product with sprayer in case of absorbent or very rough surfaces. In this way, the product fully and quickly penetrates the surface and economy in application rates is guaranteed. Make sure that during application the product is absorbed and does not just form a skin on the surfaces.
Step 6After application, remove and remains (spills).
Step 7In case of new plaster or concrete surfaces, apply after 30-40 days.
Storage
Store the original, sealed containers in dry environment at temperatures between +5°C and
+35°C for 24 months from production date.
