Cracks on plaster like a web shape

POTENTIAL CAUSES OF THE PROBLEM

a) Plaster was applied during low temperature conditions

b) Plaster had a lot of water (during mix)

SOLUTION

  1. Rub the surface and remove loose parts
  2. Good cleaning of the surface
  3. Application of fast setting repairing mortar WRM 520
  4. Priming of the surface with deep penetration acrylic primer GLX 292 FLEX PRIM
  5. Apply the first layer of fi ber-reinforced, base coat, THC 410

6: As long as THC 410 is still wet, firmly put CLIMAPLUS fiberglass mesh (160 g/m2)

7: Then, apply a second layer of fiber-reinforced, base coat, THC 410, in order to completely cover the mesh

8: Prime the surface of application with the colored acrylic primer GLX 494 PRIM

9: Apply the organic acrylic based top coating DEC 428, tinted at the required shade chosen from CLIMAPLUS fan deck

ATTENTION: In case that the application is at a seaside area or area with high moisture content, THRAKON suggests the application of our silicone system. In such case, proceed to the following steps:

8: Prime the surface with the colored silicone based primer GLX 498 SIL PRIM

9: Application of organic silicone based top coating DEC 438, tinted at the required shade chosen from CLIMAPLUS fan deck
