GLX 190
Description
GLX 190 is an adhesion primer, ready to use, suitable for enhancing the adhesion of tiles on very smooth, and non-absorbent surfaces. It consists of synthetic resin and quartz sand. It has very strong adhesion strength to several substrates and resistance to freezing and moisture. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. After the application, creates a rough surface with resistant to alkaline conditions.
Application Fields
- It is suitable for creating a suitable bonding key to old tiles and mosaics, where new tiles are going to be applied, on indoor or outdoor substrates. It also enhances the adhesion of the adhesives on smooth and low absorbance substrates.
- It is applied over smooth substrates.
- It is applied over wood, marble, natural stone
- It is applied over cement board
- It is applied over metal and industrial flooring
- It is applied over PVC
Advantages
- It does not contain organic solvents
- Resistance to oils and solvents
- Excellent workability
- Strong adhesion and resistance to ageing
- Excellent adhesion to substrate
- After the application it creates a rough surface and increases the adhesion, even on the most demanding substrates
Application Steps
The substrate must be clean, stable and free of grease and other pollutants. Remove with a tool, mud, adhesives and any remains from previous work. Also, clean if necessary and wash the wall. Remove any excess of water and leave the wall to dry before applying the product.
Step 2Shake the container before use.
Step 3Then apply the product on the surface with a soft brush, or roller, without dilution.
Step 4For best results it is recommended to recoat the substrate using a second layer wet on wet.
Step 5The surface is ready for use 12 hours after the application.
Step 6It is recommended a trial application on a small area before use.
Storage
Stored in its original sealed package for 12 months from the production date, at temperatures between +5oC and +35oC.
