Description
CLIMASIL PLASTER DEC 438 is a high quality, silicone based render in paste form, with high hardness. It offers resistance to ultraviolet radiation (UV) and atmospheric conditions. Due to its special characteristics it is recommended for the façade renovation of old buildings and the protection of cultural monuments. Available in Scratch and Rillen styles.
Application Fields
- Used as a final layer plaster on the external thermal insulation THRAKON CLIMAPLUS.
- Applied over surfaces plastered with final layer plasters (FHP 221 WR, FHP 225 WR) or with one hand plasters (NHP 250 WR, NHP 255 WR) or painted with acrylic paints.
- Also applicable on concrete surfaces, plasterboard and cement board.
Advantages

- Does not need painting.
- Used either as an external top coating, or internally as a decorative coating.
- High elasticity, thus: a) Little tendency distortion from shrinkage during curing time. b) Greater resistance to temperature changes over time.
- Provides extremely high water-repellency.
- Excellent transpiration ability of surfaces.
- Resistance to UV radiation.
- Greater resistance hue over time (due to low alkalinity).
- Easy to clean from dirt. Cleaned only with water.
Application Steps
The substrate should be clean from dust and oils which can reduce adhesion. Large unevenness and cracks in the substrate should be repaired. Prior to application of CLIMASIL PLASTER DEC 438 the surfaces should be treated with the primer CLIMA PRIMER GLX 498.
Step 2Mix CLIMASIL PLASTER DEC 438 with an electric stirrer.
Step 3After sufficient stirring, the plaster is applied over the primer with a stainless steel spatula.
Step 4Treat the plaster with a plastic spatula.
Step 5After completing the application, the tools should be cleaned immediately with plenty of water.
Storage
In a dry environment with temperature greater than 00C for 24 months from date of production.
